There is an 'unusual odor' reported in areas in Visalia

VISALIA, Calif. (KSEE/KGPE) - Smell something unusual? The Visalia Fire Department is telling people to report it if they notice an "unusual odor" after areas in the city had an unknown odor Tuesday morning.
Fire crews say that on Tuesday, just after 6 a.m., there were several reports of an unkno
wn odor in the 5000 block of West Goshen.
According to firefighters, the reports suggested that it was a possible natural gas leak, both outside and inside businesses and nearby homes.
Firefighters say they responded and searched for a possible source but couldn't find anything. The odor eventually faded, though it continued to move eastward through the city.
Around 9 a.m., firefighters say they responded to two more calls around 9 a.m. in the 2800 and 3000 block of West Main Street, where businesses reported smelling the odor inside their buildings.
Visalia Fire says that while the smell has mostly passed, some businesses are noticing a faint trace.
If anyone notices a smell or continues to notice the smell, firefighters say to report it. ...read more read less
