OCEANSIDE, Calif. (FOX 5/KUSI) -- The community is invited to give their input on what artwork they want to see in the Oceanside Transit Center (OTC) Pedestrian Tunnel.
According to the North County Transit District - San Diego Railroad and MainStreet Oceanside organization, the OTC is the main t
ransit hub of North County. It is where NCTD's COASTER and SPRINTER trains, as well as the BREEZE bus, connect with Amtrak and Metrolink trains.

On Tuesday, the NCTD announced they are hoping to transform the OTC's pedestrian tunnel into a more welcoming and safe environment for visitors by adding new artwork. They will also bolster security in the form of added cameras and speakers.
To enhance the visitor experience, they are seeking the public's help in deciding what artwork will be featured in the tunnel.
There are three options for voters to choose from:
Option 1, "Oceanside Odyssey" -- This immersive mural showcases sunset skies and local marine life including ospreys, dolphins and whales. The team of artists behind the work include Jon Hamrick, Hanna Daly, Maxx Moses, Paul Jimenez, Signe Ditona and Mike Smallderakht.

It features a colorful mix of native and introduced species of plants such as Torrey pines, red bougainvillea and Jacaranda blossoms. In addition, the art pays homage to Oceanside's agricultural past as the "Garden of Carnations," with hues of pinks, reds and oranges.
