Photo courtesy of Jeff Motz/KFOR News.LINCOLN—(KFOR Mar. 31)—The Lincoln City Council voted 6-0 on Monday to approve a proposal increasing penalties for dangerous driving in the city.  The proposal amended the Lincoln Municipal Code to include new definitions and prohibitions for reckless driv ing and racing. A first offense would result in the driver’s vehicle being towed and released upon paying a fee. For a second offense, the vehicle would be towed and held for 10 days.  Lincoln Police said towing would be in addition to citations for violations like speeding or reckless driving, with fines reaching up to $500. ...read more read less
