HONOLULU (KHON2) -- Big Island police are investigating a fatal single-car crash that claimed the life of a woman in her 40s on Sunday night. Kīlauea enters episode 16 of ongoing eruption Authorities said the woman was driving on Makuʻu Drive when her vehicle crashed into a rock wall. She was rushed to a nearby hospital, where she was later pronounced dead.
