Upon arrival, crews found flames exiting a basement window and extending to the exterior of the home. Occupants had self-evacuated with a dog prior to the arrival of the Green Bay Metro Fire Department.
Firefighters initiated a transitional attack with a successful knockdown from the exterior basement windows. The home was fully charged with smoke, and crews suspected the fire was traveling through the walls to the attic.
Work continued to identify chase ways using thermal imaging cameras. Eventually, the fire that had been traveling the walls to the attic was extinguished before extensive damage occurred.
