FOND DU LAC, Wis. (WFRV) - A 39-year-old man identified as the suspect in a 23.5-mile police pursuit that occurred in and around Fond du Lac on February 27 surrendered himself on April 1 at the Fond du Lac County Courthouse. The incident occurred around 10:55 a.m. on February 27 when a Fond du Lac County Sergeant tried to stop a vehicle that was speeding on I-41, with the vehicle operated by somebody previously known to officials. A pursuit was engaged after Johnson accelerated; however, due to traffic and extreme speeds, the roughly eight-mile pursuit was terminated.
