(CAÑON CITY, Colo.) — Cañon City Police Department (CCPD) officers and detectives detained three people in a vehicle and arrested one suspect on an unrelated arrest warrant after a shots fired call on the evening of Monday, March 31. According to CCPD, on Monday at around 8:10 p.m., officers were called to the area of North 5th Street and Floral Avenue on a report of shots being heard. When police arrived, they found evidence that led them to believe multiple shots were fired in the area. CCPD said as of Tuesday, April 1, no victims have been associated with the shooting. Police were able to develop information on a possible suspect vehicle and a general description of a suspect. During the investigation, police detained three people in a car matching the description of the suspect vehicle.
