SIOUX FALLS, S.D. (KELO) – Winter weather is impacting many areas across KELOLAND, with snow, rain, sleet and dense fog impacting differing parts of the state.
Snowfall is differing across the state, and heavy, wet snow is expected to fall on area such as Watertown, Aberdeen and Sisseton.
The worst of the snow we are seeing this morning appears to be accumulating in the Watertown area, and this is wet and heavy snow.

Just after noon on Tuesday, the South Dakota Highway Patrol announced they are asking people to avoid the Wilmot exit on I-29 where it meets SD15, with three semi trucks blocking the southbound off ramp, unable to make it up the hill.

Watertown PD is posting for people to be cautious, noting that weather is going downhill fast.

Meanwhile north of Watertown in Day County, the Sheriff's Office has posted photos showcasing the severity of the road conditions, as they have had two instances of vehicles sliding off the road; one a semi, and the other a pick-up sliding into a lake.

Further south conditions are also worsening. The Kingsbury County Sheriff's Office shared an image around 11:30 a.m. of another truck which had slid off the road, jack-knifing in the ditch.
