Norfolk Police investigate threat made to Norview High School

NORFOLK, Va. (WAVY) -- Norfolk Police are investigating a threat made to Norview High School on Monday.
According to officials, the threat, which has been circulating on social media, was made on March 31 around 10:30 p.m.
Police said the investigation remains ongoing.

School Board Member Jason Inge posted to Facebook about the incident, saying that there is an increased presence of public safety personnel at the school.
"I understand that many of you may be feeling anxious today due to the recent threats against the school," Inge said. "Earlier, I visited Norview High School and can confirm that there is an increased presence of public safety personnel on-site. The safety of our students and staff remains our highest priority, and we all are committed to ensuring a secure learning environment for all."
