PLAQUEMINES PARISH, La. (WGNO) — Official tolling for the Belle Chasse Bridge is set to start on Thursday, April 3.
Belle Chasse Bridge and Tunnel Replacement Project officials said tolling was to start the day prior, Wednesday, April 2, but was delayed due to the weather impact.

They are also advising drivers to create a GeauxPass account to obtain a free transponder sticker, which is required, via mail.
"Using a GeauxPass offers ease of conveyance over the bridge and a reduced toll rate in every category. Drivers who opt not to use a GeauxPass will receive a toll invoice mailed to the address connected to their vehicle registration," said project officials.

In order for Plaquemines Parish residents to qualify for the residential toll rate they must use a GeauxPass, operate a Class 1 vehicle and establish proof of residency via a drivers license and vehicle registration.
"All individuals opening a new GeauxPass account must prefund their account with $30.
