INDIANAPOLIS (WISH) — Two people were wounded, one of them fatally, in a Tuesday morning shooting just south of the Indiana State Fairgrounds. Indianapolis Metropolitan Police Department officers were called to the 3600 block of Ralston Avenue around 9:40 a.m. to investigate a person shot. That’s in a neighborhood just off the intersection of East 38th Street and Fall Creek Parkway North Drive on the city’s near north side. Officers arrived and located two people suffering gunshot wounds. Both were rushed to a hospital, one in critical and one in stable condition. IMPD said a short time later that the victim in critical condition did not survive. Officers did not say what led up to the shooting or if anyone else was hurt. A public information officer told News 8 at the scene that a third person was detained for questioning.
