High Point man charged in connection to deaths of adult, infant after overdose, deputies say

HIGH POINT, N.C. (WGHP) — A man is facing murder charges after the death of a baby.
According to the Davidson County Sheriff's Office, in June 2024, they were called about a person and a child dead in a home.
They determined the adult victim had died of Fentanyl toxicity, and the baby died
of dehydration.

Law enforcement identified Donta Octovius Williams, 36, of High Point, as the person who allegedly gave the victim the drugs.
Williams was indicted on March 24, 2025, for death by distribution and second-degree murder. He was taken into custody on March 27 and given a $750,000 bond. ...read more read less
