CSPD arrests suspect who allegedly killed UCCS professor

(COLORADO SPRINGS) — The Colorado Springs Police Department announced that they have arrested the man who is accused of killing a University of Colorado Colorado Springs (UCCS) professor.
On August 7, 2024, CSPD received a call for service at the 6400 block of Caddy Point, near Carefree Circl
e. Upon arrival, officers found a woman with at least one stab wound. On Aug. 12, the woman was identified as 54-year-old Haleh Abghari, a music professor at UCCS. At that time, this was the 26th homicide in Colorado Springs.
On Thursday, March 27, CSPD arrested Ceasar Wilson for the death of Abghari. According to CSPD, he was discovered to have been in custody on unrelated charges in a different county under a different name.
According to court documents, Wilson faces several charges, including murder and theft.
