SALISBURY, NC – A stolen forklift helped deputies make arrests in several larceny cases in Rowan County. The Rowan County Sheriff’s Office says deputies were called to Karriker Farm Road on March 30th after someone stole a forklift. Witnesses say they saw a man drive up in a Ford Ranger pickup truck. A short time later, the same witnesses say they saw the man drive the forklift away after he used it to pick up the truck and take it away. Deputies say they found the forklift along with a man and a woman on Cooper Road.  Deputies found the truck in some woods off Deal Road. They arrested Richard Webb and Christy Tipton.  Both are charged with possession of the stolen forklift. Webb is also charged with damage to real property for damage to a field that deputies say he drove across to leave the truck in the woods. There were several reports of stolen items over the weekend, that Webb and Tipton are believed to be involved with.
