BAKERSFIELD, Calif. (KGET) -- Kern County residents can contribute to raise awareness about efforts to stop human trafficking in the community on Friday. “Project Rescue” will host the 11th annual “Red Bucket Day” from 7 a.m. to 5 p.m. on April 4, according to a news release. Bake rsfield woman shows resilience, strength after traumatic experiences of her youth “Project Rescue,” a campaign put together in collaboration between CityServe and Canyon Hills Assembly of God Church, partnered with local businesses and volunteers to receive donations, CityServe said. The donations will go to Kern Coalition Against Human Trafficking and Redeem Home to prevent trafficking and support victims, according to the release.
