PROVIDENCE, R.I. (WPRI) — The Rhode Island Public Transit Authority (RIPTA) has narrowed its long-running search for a new bus hub in downtown Providence to two locations. The goal of the so-called bus hub is to centralize RIPTA’s operations in the city and encourage the use of public transit .
