LOUISVILLE, Ky. (ABC36 NEWS NOW) — Democratic State Representative Pam Stevenson of Louisville has officially launched her campaign for the U.S. Senate seat currently held by Senator Mitch McConnell. Stevenson, who is currently the highest-ranking Democrat in Kentucky’s Republican-led state H ouse, announced her Senate run Monday through a campaign ad shared on social media. The seat has been held by McConnell for decades, but he recently announced he would not seek reelection in 2026. Several Republicans have expressed interest in running for McConnell’s seat, including former Kentucky Attorney General Daniel Cameron. U.S. Congressman Andy Barr and businessman Nate Morris have also indicated they are considering entering the race.
