3 accused of trying to bring contraband into North Carolina prison with drone

POLKTON, N.C. (QUEEN CITY NEWS) — Three suspects were arrested in an operation at Anson Correctional Facility, where they attempted to use a drone to deliver contraband into the facility.
Roland J. Snoke, David A. Johnson, and Trudy M. Gibbs, all from Cumberland County, are charged with providi
ng contraband to inmates. They received a $100,000 secured bond.
The items seized included K2 paper, meth, tobacco, cigarettes and suboxone strips.
This is an ongoing investigation and more arrests are expected, including 10 inmates at Anson Correctional Facility and other facilities throughout the State of North Carolina. Officials confirm there are more civilian arrests expected as well. ...read more read less
