WATFORD CITY, N.D. (KXNET) — One man is dead following an officer-involved shooting late Monday evening near Watford City. According to a post on the McKenzie County Sheriff's Facebook page, deputies responded to a domestic call at a residence south of the city around 7:30 p.m. During the in cident, a male suspect was shot by one of the deputies. Emergency medical personnel were called to the scene and took the man to the McKenzie County Hospital where he later succumbed to his injuries. The deputy has been placed on administrative leave, according to department policy whenever there's an officer-involved shooting, while investigators continue to gather information on the shooting.
