Gov. Braun addresses tech industry at Statehouse
INDIANAPOLIS (WISH) — Indiana Gov. Mike Braun says he wants the state’s tech industry to flood his office with ideas.
The Republican governor on Monday spoke to members of the Indiana Technology & Innovation Association at the Statehous
e, where businesses showed off their products and services to state policymakers.
Braun says Indiana’s future success will depend on how it harnesses the high tech industry. “So what you do, I know it works, and, to me, it’ll be the differentiator for which state sticks its head above the rest of the 49, that puts that right combination of necessary but not excess regulation.”
Braun says he supports proposals to develop a “quantum corridor” stretching from northwestern Indiana through West Lafayette, Indianapolis and Bloomington, to Naval Support Activity Crane, a military facility in southwestern Indiana.
