FORT WAYNE, Ind. (WANE) — Ducky's at The Pearl is almost ready to crowd the lanes with duckpin bowlers and classic cuisine.
"A lot of the things are going to be recognizable," Co-Owner Esli Barrón Perez said. "We got burgers, we got French fries, we got nachos. We wanted some things you could
expect, but also have that quality of a nicer place."
Barrón Perez said that although Ducky's had originally planned to open in fall 2024, construction delays ultimately led her and her husband, co-Owner Johnny Perez, to delay its opening. But as the owners take this week to finish training staff and preparing the kitchen, they said Ducky's will be ready to open within the first two weeks of April.
Ducky's has eight duckpin bowling lanes with a six-person limit.Tiki cocktails will be served.
Barrón Perez and Perez run Te Gustó Hospitality, responsible for bringing Fort Wayne several restaurants on The Landing, which helped give them inspiration for their newest establishment.
"When owning Mercado, we do get a lot of feedback from the public," Barrón Perez said. "What they've mentioned is that they want a place for entertainment, especially for the whole family ... and we came across duckpin bowling. I really like that anyone of any age can do it."
Ducky's eight duckpin bowling lanes will invite up to six people to play for $32 an hour.
The food menu has not been finalized, but it will include:
$15 for a double smash burger with fries combo
$12 for a two-piece chicken tender fries combo
Both dining and duckpin bowling will be first-come, first-serve. Reservations will be available to be made on Ducky's website.
Ducky's initial opening hours will be:
Tuesday - Friday, 11 a.m. to 10 p.m.
Saturday, 4 p.m. to 12 a.m.
Sunday, 4 p.m. to 10 p.m.
