MINOT, ND (KXNET) — The City of Minot has opened its 10 yard waste collection sites for the season. These are only for garbage collection patrons who live in Minot, and not for use by commercial haulers or people who live outside the city.
Yard waste includes grass clippings, garden waste, leav
es, vines, flowers, flowerbed clippingsand apples that have fallen from trees. Tree branches and twigs are not allowed in the yard waste collection containers.
Small piles of tree branches are picked up separately throughout the week, as time permits. If you are a resident with City sanitation service, you should put small piles of tree branches near your collection point on the regular collection day, and City crews will add the address to a list of tree piles they need to collect.
