DOJ: Man guilty of transporting 200K fentanyl pills in Fresno County

FRESNO COUNTY, Calif. (KSEE/KGPE) - A man pleaded guilty after trafficking large amounts of fentanyl, per the United States Department of Justice.
According to the DOJ, Miguel Obed Romero Reyes, 25, of Sinaloa, Mexico, pleaded guilty on Monday to trafficking large amounts of fentanyl.

rt documents say law enforcement officers pulled Reyes over while driving north on Interstate 5 in Fresno County. A large duffel bag containing 48 pounds of blue counterfeit M-30 pills in 20 separate one-gallon Ziploc bags was found upon a search of his vehicle.
The DOJ adds in total, Reyes was transporting more than 200,000 fentanyl pills in his car. Reyes had picked up the pills in Arizona and was transporting them to Washington for distribution.
The pills were seized, and the DOJ says Reyes is scheduled to be sentenced on June 30. ...read more read less
