Lawrence police, KBI extend search efforts for missing elderly woman

KANSAS CITY, Mo. -- The Lawrence Police Department and the Kansas Bureau of Investigation (KBI) is asking for the public's help in locating a missing elderly Kansas woman after receiving new information into her whereabouts.
Lawrence police released updated images of Wanda Dyer, 74, a missing
Kansas woman, after Dyer was recently spotted at an establishment.
Police first issued a SILVER alert for Dyer on Saturday, March 22, after Dyer was last seen leaving her home near 5th and California Street on foot, around 8 a.m.
Police warn of purse snatchings, thefts in Kansas City area
Since the alert was first issued, police have received new information suggesting Dyer may have been seen leaving out of the Lawrence area causing police to expand their search efforts.
Police say they have searched parks, shared Dyer's photo with city bus drivers, and visited places Dyer has been known to frequent as part of their search efforts.
The KBI said Dyer is believed to be on foot and may be heading east towards Eudora and Kansas City.
Dyer is described as standing 5'2" and has been seen wearing a black jacket with pink lining, blue patterned bottoms, and carrying a black backpack.
KCK police ask for help in locating missing father
The KBI said Dyer experiences confusion and memory issues.
