EASTHAMPTON, Mass. (WWLP) - The city of Easthampton has announced that Mountain Road will be closed to all traffic on Tuesday. Construction begins at Pontoosuc Lake Park The road will be closed from 8:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. as city crews conduct essential water main repairs, according to a notice from the city. A detour will be in place to help manage traffic flow and minimize delays. The repairs are part of the city’s ongoing efforts to maintain and upgrade its aging water system to ensure reliable service and water quality. Drivers are encouraged to plan ahead and allow for extra travel time and use alternate routes if possible.
