WSAV's Kim Gusby among locals honored at University Women's luncheon

SAVANNAH, Ga. (WSAV) -- This weekend, 22 leaders who help make our community a better place to live were honored, including WSAV’s own Kim Gusby.
This year's honorees of National Association of University Women Savannah Branch were recognized for their contributions to our community.
On Sund
ay, March 30, the local chapter hosted its annual scholarship brunch in observance of Women's History Month. City of Savannah alderwoman-at-large Carol Bell served as keynote speaker.
Founded in 1910, the international organization is dedicated to promoting and advancing opportunities for women and youth through education, networking, and community engagement.
Gusby is Savannah’s long-serving morning news anchor, having joined WSAV in 1993. She is the founder of The Village Scholarship Fund, a board member for Brightside Child & Family Advocacy Savannah, a member of the National Association of Black Journalist and active in Savannah’s Eagle Outreach.
Gusby is also a winner of AP and Edward R. Murrow Awards for stories on Black history.
She was inducted into the Georgia Association of Broadcasters Hall of Fame in 2024.
