The Valentine’s Richmond History Tours to return with more than 100 tours

RICHMOND, Va. (WRIC) -- The Valentine's historic tours in Richmond will return in April with more than 100 tours that will showcase historic sites, off-the-beaten-path neighborhoods and diverse stories that have defined the city.

il 5 at 10 a.m. with a new tour exploring the history of the city's Scott's Addition neighborhood.
Originally named after General Winfield Scott, the early 20th century commercial and industrial area contains Richmond's "best selection of Art Deco and Moderne commercial architecture," according to the Valentine.
The Valentine is also bringing back History Hounds tours, which are dog-friendly walking tours in partnership with the Richmond SPCA that will feature an adoptable dog from the shelter that attendees can get to know while exploring historic sites and neighborhoods.
According to the Valentine, the first History Hounds tour of the season will be held on April 13 through Richmond's Oregon Hill.
Starting in May, visitors can also take tours that celebrate the 250th anniversary of the signing of the Declaration of Independence with deep dives into Richmond's revolutionary history in Church Hill, Shockoe Bottom and Court End.
