BROCKTON, Mass. (WLNE) — U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement and Removal Operations said deportation officers arrested an Ecuadoran man illegally living in the country facing child sex crime charges. 31-year-old Jose Oswaldo Castro was arrested by ICE officers in Brockton on Feb. 25. On Apri l 20, 2023, Castro was indicted in Plymouth Country Superior Court for aggravated rape of a child, ten-year age difference, and indecent assault and battery on a child under 14, according to ERO Boston. “Jose Oswaldo Castro-Castro illegally crossed our borders and appallingly victimized a child in Massachusetts,” ICE Enforcement and Removal Operations Boston acting Field Office Director Patricia Hyde said. “Castro has done unspeakable damage to our community that we cannot tolerate.
