LEXINGTON, Ky. (ABC36 NEWS NOW) – Lexington Fire Department crews responded to a fatal vehicle accident involving a U-Haul truck and a construction van on New Circle Road Monday just after noon. According to Battalion Chief Derek Roberts, firefighters were sent to the scene at 12:09 p.m. to th e area of 1114 New Circle Road, where the van caught fire following the collision. Roberts confirmed that all three people involved in the crash—two occupants in the truck and one occupant in the van—were pronounced dead at the scene. According to Fayette County Coroner Gary Ginn, the collision appears to have been head-on. Ginn told ABC 36 News two bodies were taken from the scene. The coroner’s office identified the victims as 47-year-old William Kelly Curtin, 55-year-old Emma Hayden and 48-year-old Oleksandr Tyshko. Officials are still investigating the cause of the crash.
