UPDATE: March 31 at 5:40 p.m. No injuries have been reported following an afternoon barn fire in Fayette County. The Lexington Fire Department reports that crews responded to the 4000 block of Iron Works Pike for reports of a st ructure fire around 4 p.m. Monday.When they arrived, they found a barn that was well involved. LFD reports that crews were able to save a majority of the structuer. Along with no injuries, no animals were in the barn at the time of the fire. ORIGINAL STORY: According to lexwrecks, at least one lane of traffic is blocked on Iron Works Pike between Georgetown Road and I-75 due to a barn fire.Drivers are encouraged to avoid the area, if possible.
