EL PASO, Texas (KTSM) -- A reputed 61-year-old member of the Barrio Azteca gang was arrested Monday morning, March 31 in El Paso's Lower Valley, the El Paso County Constable's Office for Precinct 6 said. The Constable's Office said they arrested Alfonso Zamora Jr., 61, on a parole violation out o f Austin. Zamora is on parole for the manufacture and/or delivery of a controlled substance. At about 11:30 a.m. Monday, a deputy constable observed a "wanted subject" walking at the intersection of Snelson Drive and Alameda. The deputy made contact and detained Zamora. The deputy conducted a warrant check on Zamora and located a parole violation out of Austin, the Constable's Office said. Zamora was transported to the El Paso County Detention Facility and booked for a parole violation with no bond.
