The showers and storms are rolling out – and the sunshine is moving in. Tuesday may be April Fools’ Day, but the weather won’t pull any pranks on us to start the month. Sunny skies and comfy highs will make themselves at home throughout the second day of the workweek as highs rise into the
60s and 70s. Enjoy the sunshine while it lasts; more clouds and rain chances return by Wednesday morning.
While a few showers may roll through the Carolinas on our Hump Day into Thursday morning, they likely won’t amount to much as a strong ridge of tropical high pressure to our southeast keeps most of the moisture at bay. Strong southwesterly flow will pump much warmer air into the WCCB Charlotte viewing area by the end of the week; highs may crack 90° for the first time in 2025 on Friday and/or Saturday. Models are suggesting a more significant storm system arrives by Sunday – we’ll want to watch this closely.
