COLUMBUS, Ohio (WCMH) -- A car crashing into an apartment building has caused a gas leak on the southeast side of Columbus Monday. According to the Columbus Division of Fire, the crash happened on the 600 block of East Morrill Avenue at approximately 6 p.m. Fire battalion chief Jeffery Gei ter said there were no injuries reported from the crash. Geiter said three buildings have been evacuated and the residents from 15 apartments are being sheltered at a nearby recreation center. A COTA bus is helping escort residents to the center.
