Car crashes into apartment building, causes gas leak in southeast Columbus

COLUMBUS, Ohio (WCMH) -- A car crashing into an apartment building has caused a gas leak on the southeast side of Columbus Monday.
According to the Columbus Division of Fire, the crash happened on the 600 block of East Morrill Avenue at approximately 6 p.m.

ter said there were no injuries reported from the crash.
Geiter said three buildings have been evacuated and the residents from 15 apartments are being sheltered at a nearby recreation center. A COTA bus is helping escort residents to the center.
By 7:20 p.m., Geiter said the gas leak had been stopped and that people were being allowed back into two of the three buildings. ...read more read less
