FRESNO, Calif. (KSEE/KGPE) – Multiple drivers were arrested on suspicion of driving under the influence Saturday night during a DUI saturation operation, according to the Fresno Police Department. Police say that twelve drivers were arrested during the operation. Drivers charged with a first-ti me DUI may expect to encounter an average of $13,500 in fines and penalties, along with the suspension of their driver's license.  The Fresno Police Department says they will hold a DUI enforcement operation in April, along with a series of DUI patrols and checkpoints throughout the year to keep our roadways safe.  Funding for this program was provided by a grant from the California Office of Traffic Safety, through the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration. ...read more read less
