WICHITA, Kan. (KSNW) - A lithium battery in a rechargeable flashlight is being blamed for a Sunday fire at a Salina hotel. The fire happened at the Rodeway Inn & Suites at 3932 S. 9th Street. The Salina Fire Department said that when they arrived at the hotel, smoke was coming from the th ird floor, and a small fire was found in room 310. The hotel's fire sprinkler system activated, containing the flames and fire damage to the room. The department said water damage was reported in hotel rooms on the first and second floors.
