TOPEKA (KSNT) - Police have identified the person who died last Saturday in a two-vehicle crash in central Topeka.

enjamin Edwards, 40. He was killed in a deadly crash over the weekend.
The TPD was called around 3 p.m. on March 29 to the intersection of Southwest 21st Street and Southwest College Avenue on reports of a crash. Officers arriving in the area found one person suffering from life-threatening injuries who was taken to a nearby hospital for treatment. The individual, identified as Edwards, died at the hospital a short time later.

People were asked to avoid the area of the crash for hours on March 28 as police investigated the scene. No other injuries were reported in connection to the crash initially.
