Free laptop giveaway held at Springfield Boys and Girls Club

SPRINGFIELD, Mass. (WWLP) - AT&T presented 50 laptops to those who participated in the basketball foul shooting contest at the Springfield Boys and Girls Club.
In a news release sent to 22News from AT&T, fifty students earned free laptops last week during an event at the Springfield Boys
and Girls Club, celebrating the March college basketball tournament and promoting sportsmanship and physical fitness among Springfield youth.

"Thanks to AT&T’s generous support, our kids now have greater access to learning tools and opportunities to stay connected. This partnership is helping bridge the digital divide and set our youth up for success," said Executive Director of the Springfield Boys & Girls Club Vincent Borello.

AT&T's initiative has distributed more than 500 computers to Massachusetts students and their families since 2021. They are committing $5 billion to help 25 million people get and stay connected to high-speed internet by 2030.
