LORDSBURG, N.M. (KRQE) – A portion of a bridge near Lordsburg that was damaged when a vehicle carrying an excavator struck it will be removed in April.
The bridge that spans over Interstate 10 near exit 24 sustained significant damage as a result of the March 7 crash. Engineers inspected the b
ridge and determined that the westbound portion of the bridge needs to be removed.

I-10 eastbound and westbound lanes at exit 24 will be closed starting on April 1 at 8:30 a.m. through April 2 at 5:30 p.m. for the removal process.
