CENTRAL FALLS, R.I. (WPRI) — Multiple fire crews responded to a report of hazardous materials on Broad Street in Central Falls around noon on Monday. A 12 News crew at the scene observed Central Falls firefighters with what appeared to be oxygen tanks and gas masks outside a commercial building , and was advised not to get any closer due to chemicals in the air. Several non-emergency personnel could be seen outside the building when 12 News arrived, but left soon after. It is not clear whether they had been inside the building. 12 News has reached out to the Central Falls Fire Department for more information. This is a developing story. Check back for updates.
