CENTRAL FALLS, R.I. (WPRI) — Multiple fire crews responded to a report of hazardous materials on Broad Street in Central Falls around noon on Monday.
A 12 News crew at the scene observed Central Falls firefighters with what appeared to be oxygen tanks and gas masks outside a commercial building
, and was advised not to get any closer due to chemicals in the air.
Several non-emergency personnel could be seen outside the building when 12 News arrived, but left soon after. It is not clear whether they had been inside the building.
