1010 Commons St., located in the New Orleans Central Business District, has seen continued redevelopment to transform the office building into a mixed use office and hotel development. The latest comes with a $76 million permit approval. The property will contain six stories of office space with the remaining floors up to the 31st utilized as a hotel. The property, once complete, will boast a hotel, leased office space, retail/commercial space, and a parking garage. Plaza Construction Louisiana LLC and Charles Ward are leading the construction of the project. The Convention Center, located at 900 Convention Center Blvd., also see’s continued renovation with $17 million in permitting issued for electrical work to be completed by Jonathan Stephen Frischhertz. 532 Canal St., which currently houses the Sheraton Hotel, has received permitting for a $6.5 million installation of a commercial kitchen hood and suppression system. Bourgeois Mace is performing the work. 1805-1848 Thayer St., a multifamily property containing 100 units, has been issued nearly $5 million in permitting in order to paint, replace appliances, replace flooring and cabinetry, and replace lighting and plumbing fixtures.
