UPDATE: Those without power throughout Wisconsin and the UP increases to nearly 70,000 MONDAY, MARCH 31, 2025 - 7:58 a.m. (WFRV) - Following a snowstorm in some places Sunday night, officials with We Energies and the Wisconsin Public Service (WPS) are reporting that the number of customers throughout Wisconsin and Michigan's Upper Peninsula who are without power has increased to nearly 70,000. Initially, there were reported to be about 40,000 to 50,000 customers without power after a round of strong rain and ice storms hit the area Saturday night into Sunday morning. A round of snow Sunday night on top of the ice already in place seems to have had an effect as the total number of customers without power has now increased to almost 70,000. As shown on the WPS outage map, 59,183 northeast Wisconsin customers are currently without service, with the majority of the outages occurring in Oneida, Langlade, and Forest Counties. For We Energies, their outage map is currently showing 11,164 customers without service throughout northeast Wisconsin and Michigan's Upper Peninsula, with the majority of outages occurring in Dickinson (MI), Florence, and Menominee (MI) Counties.
