'He meant a lot': No shortage of tributes at AmFam Field for Bob Uecker ahead of first home opener since his passing

MILWAUKEE, Wis. (WFRV) - The Milwaukee Brewers are honoring Bob Uecker ahead of their home opener as the iconic radio announcer died back in January 2025.

Local 5's Kyle Malzhan was able to talk to Brewer fans ahead of the home opener.

Started listening to him when I was just a kid. I grew up with him. Best summer days were being outside listening to him on the radio and call the game.

Another fan said that Uecker meant a lot and was friendly to everybody.
In addition to having his autograph etched in center field, there is a tarp in the upper deck with Uecker's famous saying from a Miller Lite commercial: 'I must be in the front row!'
The team will also be wearing a patch on their jersey for the 2025 season.
