Columbia, S.C. (WOLO)–Gas prices have risen significantly in the midlands in the past week.
According to gasbuddy.com, gas prices in the area are up more than six cents.
The midlands average cost per gallon is $2.75.
While the price per gallon has increased over the past week, officials say it is
still more than .34 less than this time last year.
Officials say drivers should expect the upward trend to continue as the weather warms up and demand increases.
They add, increased concern over the impact of tariffs can also cause gas prices to spike.
