Pointe Coupee Parish deputy hospitalized after being hit by a car

BATON ROUGE, La. (Louisiana First) — A Pointe Coupee Parish deputy was taken to a hospital after being hit by a car Monday.
A Pointe Coupee Parish Sheriff's Office spokesperson said a deputy was hit on U.S. 190 near Reliable Lane where deputies had responded to a fire incident in the area ear
lier. The deputy was taken to a hospital for treatment.
Louisiana State Police were called to investigate.
