Coroner ID's driver who died in 3 vehicle crash in Tehachapi

BAKERSFIELD, Calif. (KGET) – The coroner’s office identified the driver who died in the three vehicle crash in Tehachapi in November.
Edgardo Alexander Flores Rivera, 34, of Modesto was the driver of a Mitsubishi Outlander traveling eastbound on Highway 58, west of Sand Canyon Road, on Nov. 1
5. His vehicle collided with another car at around 8 a.m., according to the coroner’s office.
Rivera died at the scene, the coroner’s office said.
According to the California Highway Patrol, Rivera lost control and struck a center median, then collided with a Ford F-250. A third vehicle, a Toyota Tacoma, then struck the F-250.

Kathleen Marie Renteria Flores, 34, of Milpitas was also pronounced deceased at the scene of the crash. She was a passenger in the outlander.
A child passenger in the outlander survived but suffered major injuries, according to the California Highway Patrol.
One person in the F-250 and one person in the Tacoma each had minor injuries, CHP said.
17 News previously reported it had been raining in the Tehachapi area overnight and snow was reported in the area at about 6 a.m. The exact cause of the crash is unknown. ...read more read less
