Causeway bridge reopens, additional updates as severe weather crosses Louisiana

NEW ORLEANS (WGNO) — The Causeway Bridge has reopened as severer weather makes its way across Southeast Louisiana on Monday, March 31.
Officers with the Causeway Police Department posted to X (Twitter), said the closure was due to thunderstorms, high winds, crosswinds and poor visibility. As of
8:40 a.m. the bridge has reopened.
Tracking severe thunderstorms Monday morning
WGNO meteorologists are currently tracking a line of storms quickly moving across the area bringing with it the potential damaging winds.
Other parts of the state have been placed under tornado warning.
Officials with NOLA Ready is allowing neutral ground parking until 6 p.m.
