NORTH CHARLESTON, S.C. (WCBD) – A report from the North Charleston Police Department provided few new details about a weekend shooting outside a North Charleston lounge. Officers responded to El Patio, located off Dorchester Road, around 7:45 p.m., following reports of shots being fired at the bar. According to an incident report from the agency, witnesses on the scene told officers the shots were fired on the patio area, which is in front of the business. A gunshot victim was taken to the Centre Pointe Emergency off International Drive, where he was being treated for a single gunshot wound when officers arrived. In the report, the victim said he did not know what happened but stated that as he was walking out of the business’s front door, he heard a gunshot and was then struck by a bullet. The victim was initially treated at the stand-alone emergency room and then taken to a local hospital for additional treatment. Security officers at the emergency room told officers that a vehicle had dropped the victim off and then quickly left. No arrests have been made.
