LAURINBURG, N.C. (WBTW) — One person died and another person is in critical condition after a double shooting at a convenience store, the Laurinburg Police Department said.

Police found one gunshot victim inside the store, and another inside a Ford Edge that was sitting in the road outside.
The Ford left the scene, and officers pulled it over on Roosevelt Street, a news release said. There were five people inside the car, and one had a gunshot wound. Adomous Tashad Malloy Henry, 18, of Laurinburg, was pronounced dead after being taken to the hospital.
Nicholas Nasir McCall, 19, of Laurinburg, was also taken to the hospital and is in critical condition.
An investigation revealed that McCall was inside the store playing a "skills game" when Henry entered the store with three other men, the release said. Henry approached McCall while pointing a gun at him, which police said appeared to be an attempted robbery.
Henry began shooting, and McCall also pulled out a gun and began shooting. The two shot each other, and Henry left the store while McCall "collapsed" inside the store, the news release said. ...read more read less
