GREEN BAY, Wis. (WFRV) - With just days left before the Wisconsin Supreme Court election, billionaire entrepreneur Elon Musk made his presence felt in Green Bay.

Record-Breaking Spending and National Spotlight
The Wisconsin Supreme Court race has captured national attention, with fundraising and spending eclipsing all previous judicial elections in the United States.
Hundreds of millions of dollars have been funneled into the race, as political groups from across the country look to influence the outcome of what could shape Wisconsin's judicial landscape for years to come.
Schimel, a former attorney general, acknowledged the unexpected intensity of the race.
“If you had told me even six months ago that this was going to be the biggest race in America in 2025, I would've gone, ‘What? No.’ If you were going to tell me the kind of money we were going to eclipse, the huge money spent in 2023, I wouldn't have believed you. Here we are,” Schimel said.
Opposition Calls Out Musk’s Involvement
Not everyone welcomes Musk’s influence in the race. Liberal candidate Susan Crawford condemned Musk’s involvement, accusing his PAC of attempting to sway the election with financial power.
“Well, I think they are resorting to real desperate measures here, and I think that's because they know that the Brad Schimel campaign is floundering,” Crawford said. “They are going to resort to, I guess, bribery of voters to try and win this election.”
Protests erupted outside the town hall, with demonstrators voicing their frustration over Musk’s presence in Wisconsin politics.
“We are out here protesting the presence of Elon Musk in Wisconsin because we feel like he is trying to buy the Wisconsin Supreme Court election,” said Milwaukee resident Sinceree Dixon.
Dixon continued, “Go home, go back to South Africa. He's not even from the United States, and he's out here making decisions. He's an unelected billionaire, and we don't want him in Wisconsin.”
Supporters Defend Musk’s Actions
Despite the backlash, some voters see Musk’s endorsement as separate from Schimel’s long-running campaign.
“His endorsement really has nothing to do with Brad Schimel,” said Bill Grube of New Holstein. “Brad Schimel has been running on his own for the past, how long? 17 months. So he just stepped in at the end here. So yeah, I support what he's doing.”

A Defining Moment in Wisconsin’s Judicial Politics
As the final votes are cast, this race stands as one of the most polarizing and costly judicial elections in U.S. history. With high stakes on both sides, the outcome will likely reverberate far beyond Wisconsin, setting a precedent for future judicial races across the country. ...read more read less
