Sunday storms wreak havoc in northeast Indiana, northwest Ohio

(WANE) — Severe storms moved through the area Sunday afternoon and evening producing heavy rain, small hail, damaging winds, and possible tornadoes.
Extensive damage to trees, homes, and buildings has been observed in communities such as Albion, Kendallville, Angola, and more. Even Trine Unive
rsity lost power.
Below is a look at all the storm reports received in our area through 9 p.m. Sunday. You can see how the line of thunderstorms weakened in our southeastern communities, as no storm reports are seen there.
All of the house icons indicate thunderstorm wind damage that has occurred, while the other icons indicate hail and wind reports. There are currently no tornado reports, but surveys will be conducted by the National Weather Service in the coming days.

As storms raced eastward, heavy winds downed trees, power lines, damaged homes, and more. Here are some of the top wind gust reports from the thunderstorms.

The National Weather Service will start surveying the damage Monday to determine if any tornadoes touched down. A few locations where surveys will be completed will be from Wolflake to Albion in Noble County, and another section from Tri Lakes to the north of LaOtto.
